I remember that game. I also remember Dooley after the game, saying "well Im never not going to celebrate a win, because they're so hard to come by." 🙄

I don’t know fellas, I feel like Saban would giving up 17 points to a team like UAB even though we’re putting up fitty.

Defensive secondary is still abysmal, paid a costly price last week in conference play, not sure if Martinez is capable of putting an SEC caliber secondary on the field, not sure why Heupel puts up with such mediocrity

I’m going to have to give him a pass right now. I know ppl don’t want to hear it but missing an All American and solid #2 corner makes a difference

I’m going to have to give him a pass right now. I know ppl don’t want to hear it but missing an All American and solid #2 corner makes a difference

I remember those days, and heaven forbid anyone speak poorly of Butch, or Jeremy. You were crucified here. Always got the... "Who we gonna get?"

We hired a lawyer, a bandy, and an assistant coach from a MTV show. If I hadn't lived through it I wouldn't believed it.

Here was the letter I broke out each time:
Dear Coach (insert coach name):

First let me tell you I am impressed with your courage to consider joining our dumpster fire. I hear you are a great offensive mind. However, I think you are coming into something you don't fully understand.
At first you will see great support here on Volnation. Our fanbase has a tendency to worship our coaches. Don't let this fool you, because it was the EXACT same way with our previous 3 coaches. This fanbase will turn on you, even the coach worshippers. It is a cycle. Coach announced...great support...not much progress...support lost. You can look back over Volnation for the past 3 hires and confirm this. This even happened with the Kiffin hire. These coach worshippers will act like they never liked your hire.
We have been rebuilding for over a decade and most fans are sick of it.
If this doesn't scare you off, you need to come in here and win. Make it happen. We don't need excuses or coach speak cliche lessons...we need to win...NOW. We must see you win at hiring a staff, recruiting, and most importantly ON THE FIELD. We are tired of being a joke and will accept nothing less.
