Annual Opponents Bama, Vandy, and UK

As a life long Vol fan I love this for two reason:
1. We keep games that mean a lot to our fans.
2. It should be consistently easier than other permanent opponents would be.

I hope we play either Kentucky or Bama on the road the same year we play Vandy away. That will give us 5 home games a year after we paint Nashville orange.

That's fair. I was honestly looking at ATM more in the past than the current.
That is a good point. Vandy for us is also tougher than it was in years past but let's be honest, that game in Nashville isn't a true road game due to the large amount of UT fans in that area. Stoops has UK going in the wrong direction and while Bama is tough, they clearly aren't the same as when Saban had it rolling. Ole Miss and the aggies were in playoff contention last season.

In the old world of college football, with 10 or 12 teams and a consistent divisional format, losing UGA and UF would make me sad or even borderline livid. Those are two big programs and playing them would matter a great deal.

In this new world of college football, where only the CFP matters and the "SEC/SECCG" is effectively dead, this is an advantage for UT. There will be years UK and Vandy are good (Vandy this year for example), but there will be other years it gives Tennessee more room to focus on whatever other major conference matchups it draws.
