Didn't matter - but if they are going to start fining teams, they had better have proof and not just be reacting to those that complain.

I was watching and that play made me laugh…it’s not impossible for two players to get hurt on the same play but it look pretty suspicious when both appeared to have gotten up, taken a few steps and were looking to their sideline when the injury suddenly hit…

simple fix for the defensive coaches is to teach the guys to just stay on the ground after the play…that requires a little more preplanning but it really look fake when guys get up and then drop back down.

If a coach the sidelines starts pointing down and a player then drops, could be a clue.

Also had the time against Tennessee one Syracuse defender started to drop to a knee then noticed another player had already dropped flat on the ground. He then got up and remained on the field.

When anything like that occurs, a fine should be levied.

I think the only time the NCAA will enforce the fines is when the team faking injuries wins. Because we beat Syracuse, they didn’t care enough even though it was blatantly obvious.

I disagree. When you have a lineman go down after every extra point then it is not a question of injury. The NCAA is doing nothing that affects the player’s wellbeing or future career. And we all know this is fraudulent. Let the fines fall where they may.

At first I was wondering why they would fake an injury there, then I peeked at the stat line and Clubneck had already thrown the ball like 50 times...it was laughable.

Not in favor of the fines--too objective. If a player goes down causing a game delay, he should be ineligible until there is a change of possession. That would be far more effective in policing the issue. Don't understand any objection to this remedy.

The extra point fake injuries are pretty obvious, but less egregious, since they occur between drives and don't really result in stoppage of play. We score so fast sometimes, CJH just has to find a way to get the D a few minutes for a breather.

Well if a kid goes down and then returns one play later. Pretty sure you can say it was fake.

Not necessarily - folks will be okay with this until it is the star QB that is shaken up for a play but then is made to stay out the rest of the possession.

Players can have cramps - land badly and with the player being cautious until they are checked out.

A flop down is obvious - but there are situations where a player is not faking it but is okay enough to re-enter the game quickly. So we penalize all of them?

Said differently - be careful what you wish for - you will be all for it until it is a key player who was just shaken up but is able to return the next play - then you all will be crying "not fair".

If he has cramps or shaken up or injured he’s gonna miss more than one play. Which is what I referenced. If out only one play. You’re not injured.

Have cramps, gonna miss several plays for stretching and liquids, get “shaken up” gonna get checked out by team Dr.s, another more than one play. Possible head injury, medical Dr.s and out several plays.

Absolutely agree the xp injuries are suspect. Especially since it’s not even starters who go down. Just a few minutes longer breather for the defense.
