Heupel failed him. Every pass catcher he has failed him, aside from Brazzell who has been phenomenal this year. But the guy doesn’t get rattled. He doesn’t blink. He just keeps putting on more steam. Joe Milton and Nico Iamaleava lose that game. Joey Aguilar is a winner. He will drag us as far as he possibly can, because he has real grit in his shít.

His guys have dropped a lot of catchable passes. But Matthews and Staley have both been dependable this year as well.

Agree idk if there has been another Qb with a higher amount of int percentage that shouldn’t be credited to them… 4 of his 5 are not his fault… how unlucky to have his balls pop up or get dropped like that but his will to win is amazing and I need that 2022 huep back he is calling games scared at the end and I don’t like it that one shouldn’t have went to OT..

Exactly right. He has only thrown 1 int that was his fault.

Moving over Hooker and Dobbs is a tall task for me. Loved watching those guys play. Dobbs had to overcome Butch, which is Herculean, and Hooker was such a perfect marriage to the Heupel offense. But Aguilar has the chance to be right up there. The guy just gets it done.

Staley came up huge on the fourth down but he was a pretty big reason why the game was as close as it was. He and Matthews are both talented but they aren’t very reliable at actually catching the ball.
