That’s probably a 24 hour drive??

That is commitment. I’d look at flights though!

Yep, drove from DC area last week and I-81 was horrendous. Didn't seem as bad last year, but after that decided to fly for the Sooners game.

81 can be incredibly relaxing under the right circumstances. Or infuriating depending upon how many trucks are clogging up the fast lane.

should be a beautiful day. While I love the night game energy, I'm still worn out from those night games last year, and we should get multiple night games next year. Still might get one against OU which would be perfect

And the sun will be setting early in the 3rd quarter, so it will be dusk for most of the 2nd half.

For HeavenUniversity (and others with travel experience):

I will be visiting Knoxville for the first time, departing from the western suburbs of Philadelphia. I would pick up I-95 at the Susquehanna River.

It seems to be that to avoid the D.C. area traffic I should take I-70 from the Baltimore Beltway (I-695), then take U.S. 340 at Frederick, ultimately connecting to I-81 at Winchester. Does anyone have a better suggestion?

I will be in Knoxville for the Arkansas game weekend. I do not have a game ticket or a parking pass. How should I best enjoy the pre-game atmosphere around the stadium?

Surely it won’t be a Noon game as Vandy will be 7-4 most likely. Vandy is a well-coached team with a strong QB so I won’t take this game for granted. We should be 9-2, maybe 9-3 w/ possible playoff berth in sight.

They could be 7-4 or better as i can see them upsetting someone -

Not in order, but @ Bama, LSU, Auburn, Mizz, and @ Texas, & KY are on their schedule before coming to Neyland.

So hopefully it’s a 3:30 game so the crowd has more juice.

Go Vols!

It will either be 3:30 or 4:15. I expect Vandy to come into our game at 8-3. If we don’t have any slip-ups it could be a big-time matchup.

My hope is we are 9-2 with only one loss to Bama, if any, gong into Vandy week. It could be a special game for both sides and it’s the last game of the regular season.

Oklahoma will be a great win if they run the table or come into Neyland with 1-2 losses, hopefully just one.

I don’t like our chances at Bama unless our D has a complete 360 vs. the Hogs. Simpson is the real deal w/ a strong oline, RBs and WRs. Plus, our D seems slow sealing the edge and struggles against the run as State and UGA both out rushed us which is concerning.
