in response to a suggestion of bringing him to Knoxville as an analyst. Never met Coach Pittman but pretty much the opinion I have of him from everything I have heard. Too bad the good guys get fired and the sleazebags like Petrino and Freeze survive.

Secondly ... I'll add one more thing on why I would bring in Pittman. He's a damn great guy who could be a huge asset in that building from a cultural standpoint. Plus he LOVED his time here. In the past day or so (since the writing was on the wall) I've heard from more than a few folks that got to know Sam when he was here, that LOVE the guy. He's class personified. I'd jump at the prospect of hiring him. I wouldn't hold your breath on Heupel hiring him though ...

Hell yeah, I'd bring him in. We've got some young offensive linemen who could use his perspective. He's been around a long time.

If the wants to he'll be coaching somewhere next year though.

He might be up for that but IMO, Sam will seriously consider retirement and no longer spending time with football. He is 63 and getting to that point... JMO
