We move up a couple IMO. I believe it’s not the losses above us that are holding us back, it’s the quality of wins looking worse with Syracuse and Miss State getting handled.

Not bad...not great...you didn't mind if your Buddies knew you ended up with a 6 or 7...

But below a 5 was like getting caught riding a MoPed...

Capisce??!!

Stop with the quality of win thing! The quality of everyone's wins in not that great.

Oregon's quality win is Penn State. How does that look now?

Ohio State's quality win is Texas. How does that look now?

Miami's quality of win is Notre Dame and FSU? Those teams each have 2 losses.

Ole Miss's quality win in LSU whose quality win was Clemson who is now 2-3.

The ESPN projection now has Tennessee as 11 and the 6th best SEC team. By the end of the year, we need to be one of the top 4 SEC teams to have a reasonable shot at the playoffs. We play two of the teams that are currently projected ahead of us, OU and Bama. We lost to one above us, Georgia and we don't play the other two. Win out and we have a good shot, not a guarantee, but a good shot.

Syracuse’s new starting QB is terrible. He ranks 127 out of 136 FBS quarterbacks in QBR. It would be like if Tennessee went from Aguilar to Merklinger.

To be fair, our best win is an OT road win against Miss. St. Our loss was at home to Georgia who bama soundly handled in Athens. I don't think the Vols are in position to argue with rankings. Just keep winning.
Oregon's best win is against Penn State who just got beat by a 0-4 UCLA team. Ohio States best win is Texas, who lost to a 1-3 Florida team. Do they deserve to be ranked 1 and 2? I'm not talking necessarily in comparison to us but why them and not Miami, Ole Miss, OU, A&M, Indiana, Texas Tech, Georgia Tech, Missouri and BYU who are also undefeated?
