Looks like Hobbs is a go for Arkansas. McCoy is possible as well. I would love to see him get some snaps before Bama.

Nice. We get those two back and it's huge. Now the question becomes which critical Vol gets injured against Arky...or in practice....or getting out of bed? You know it's coming.

The people on that show get all their info from Volquest. I know some folks on here don’t like the Volquest but they are BY FAR the best source for football and football recruiting news. No one on the Sports Source actually goes to campus and interviews players/coaches with the exception of Vince Ferrara. John Pennington is the worst.

I agree. I don't watch his show any more.

I like hearing from the former players and the long-time reporters. Some of their observations are very interesting.

On today's show though, several of them went on about how they preferred playing harder OOC games even with the expanded SEC 9 team schedule. I cannot understand that. Yeah, big name OOC games are nice, but if you have to pick between being 9-3 with those harder OOC games and missing the playoffs, vs being 10-2 with a lighter OOC schedule and making the playoffs ... man, I can't imagine wanting to go 9-3 and missing the playoffs. The corporate consolidation of the sport means that making the CFP is the only thing that matters now. It's the focus of all the media, the talking heads. If you aren't in the CFP chase, they don't talk about you and they don't feature you as often. I don't understand preferring to put the program behind the eight ball like that.

I agree. I know that no one gets excited for a gimme game, but every other team will be doing it with a 9 game conference schedule. Save the big OOC matchups for the playoffs. No reason to be playing Oregon, Ohio State, etc. unless we HAVE to.

@Stoerner Fumbles already posted that McCoy is a go for Arkansas, and not sure if I've ever seen him post a definitive piece of inside info like that and end up wrong before. Just hope McCoy is in good enough shape to play a lot vs Bama.
