Bulletin Board Alert: Snarky Arky...

Mike Washington was asked what stands out about the Vols’ defense.

“They have a great defense, but a lot of holes,” Washington said. “It’s going to be a lot of holes in their defense. It’s going to be a fun game.”

Mike, I would spend some time reviewing how ND shredded your D because it will be more of the same.

Watching that, I can't help but wonder WHY IN THE WORLD Wal-Mart isn't part of that backdrop. If I were the Arkansas AD, I would establish the closest relationship possible with that family. NIL alone the Waltons could easily buy championships.

Tyson Foods is no slouch to be sure, but no Wal-Mart?? Really???

Walmart is a national brand - might be tricky for them to participate in Arkansas and not other states.

Umm, so is Nike. Doesn't seem to impede the special $$$ relationship with Oregon.

If they wanted to, can't think of a single reason the Waltons couldn't (some or all of them, individually or corporately) go all in on Arkansas.

Oh, so the Vols Defense has a lot of holes, huh? Well guess what Mr. Washington? So does peg board, and you don't hear anyone talking about how peg board doesn't stand up to the test, do ya? Hmmmm???

In fact, THANK YOU for the Peg Board Material - it's hanging up in the Vols locker room!

Well, we all watched the Arky-ND game. So our offense is definitely thinking it’s gonna be a fun afternoon at the office against that swiss cheese defense.
My advice: play as if they are Bama or UGA. Keep ego and pride in check, do your job, and watch those plays that get you watching the wrong player.

Pilot is a national brand. I heard on a podcast recently that members of the Walton family are Mizzo fans. The former CEO went to the same high school my kids did here in Georgia. I'm sure he wasn't an Arkansas fan.

Yeah…the Waltons in the past have been involved with Mizz some and one of the son in laws actually played basketball at Memphis in the 70’s. I would still be working them constantly if I’m Arkansas though.

Likely because Tyson is spending more money with the Athletic Dept than Wal-Mart or the backdrop is a specific benefit of their sponsorship deal.

I guarantee both companies are spending 6-7 figures annually with the Hogs. The benefits/exposure are just in different places.

How about the holes in his hands from his fumble that cost Arkansas the game against Memphis? What a goof. I wouldn’t ever speak about anyone else if I cost a SEC school a victory to Tiger High!

If any of them were like Sam, they probably would do just that. Things changed when Sam died

I’ve noticed that our QB from 1996 says very little about Memphis even though he’s pretty loquacious about most other topics.
