If you ask the LV Coach she will give you an honest answer based on coaching competence and heart. After you watch her responses and her control you can't help but be impressed. She said nothing that we've not heard or witnessed before, she arrived on stage and controlled the narrative she wanted to present.

Well, until we get the players and together videos, this article assembled a lot of good quotes:

This quote was hilarious.

Janiah: ā€œI would say she looks like an innocent fifth-grade teacher. And she is not an innocent fifth-grade teacher… She’s… amazing. I don’t really know how to explain it. You have to be in our practice to see. She flips a switch on when she becomes a coach and she expects the most out of you and she’s trying to pull that out of you. She’s straight to it. Killer. Sometimes I don’t see nothing behind her eyes. Ain’t nothing wrong with that, though.ā€

Did anyone else notice Kim Mulkey roll out CKC’s, ā€œplay to be yourselfā€ concept?

We knew CKC was going to break new ground. Didn’t think she’d be changing Mulkey’s recruiting mantra.

Well, until we get the players and together videos, this article assembled a lot of good quotes:

"It was one of my personal goals, just like with Zee, just like with Coop, to make sure she plays her very best basketball in her final season.ā€ (referring to Janiah Barker)

Did Kim just let it slip that Cooper (a redshirt junior) plans to forego her final year of eligibility and go pro after this season? Or do we think she just generally meant helping transfers do better at Tennessee than they did at their previous stops?

You'll want to skip the Greg Stankey part at the beginning.
Yes, he’s awful.
Did he say something that was awful, or did y'all just mean he wasn't a captivating speaker?

Admittedly, when I was listening to Barnes' presser while i was fixing supper, I did walk over to the laptop when Stankey was making his introduction to see if I had set the speed to 75%.

I picked up on that too. Honestly makes sense to go as early and as high as you can rather than risk injury imo.

Truth! You look at Kim Caldwell and wonder what is doing coaching? So innocent, soft spoken, and easy going, but apparently, she becomes Ma Barker when practice starts. I love hearing her talk about the way she holds players accountable and make detail the ways they will improve their game.

Yeah, that quote about Kim from Janiah made me literally LOL. I love knowing that Kim has that killer-competitive drive in her, but also that the players respect that AND can actually talk openly about it with humor.

Obviously the players know Kim cares about them and wants to bring out the best in them, and so they can respect, and even joke about, her "killer" side. What was it Pat was fond of saying? Oh yeah. "Players don't care how much you know unless they know how much you care."
