Rodney Garner as DC?

IF Rodney Garner wanted the job would you promote him to DC and fire Banks and Martínez? I know this loss was not only on our D, but the whole season our secondary has been bad, they've been bad since Josh has been there, but for last season when we had two good transfers come in (Jakobe Thomas, and McCoy) and an NFL loaded DL full of 5th year seniors. The only decent player in our secondary our coaching staff have recruited themselves, coached up from the start is Gibson.
I know people are going to go on about the pix six, that did change the game, but go back at watch the 3rd downs and the stupid PI plays. We are ranked 90th on 3rd down defense next to New Mexico, that's unacceptable for the level we recruit at, so I don't want to hear about talent, it's not just we need more talent.

Banks squandered that. No one is hiring him to be a HC after this year.

My bold predictions before the season were Joshua Josephs would be a 1st round pick and Heupel would fire a coach for the first time. I think I’ll be half right and hope I’m fully right.

You don't know football do you? Banks sucks, but RG is not a DC

We need a defensive secondary overhaul. We need to go after defensive backs that uga, tex, nd, oregon, osu are going after. Our linebackers recruiting has picked up, but they are all underclassmen and we know the defensive staff doesnt like playing freshmen. Martinez & banks need to be gone. RG is probably retiring. We need hang onto coach chop. It would be cool to do osu’s defensive philosophy: go and get a nfl d coordinator.

Not Garner. He has zero experience. But I’m 💯 in favor of firing Banks tonight and making Kevin Steele the interim for the rest of the year. Martinez can coach safeties too with a grad assistant.
