If one of the major athletic shoe companies determines to front-end support a 16 year old player, I would surmise that the student would be expected to attend a university with a similar relationship. If you consider my hypothesis then that would be significant in which players with pre-NIL sports contracts to recruit or not. I don't think a player and family would have to disclose the conditions of their NIL contract with anyone including universities.

On the positive side the #1 player for next year has signed significant deal with Candice and Adidas.

Nike 52% Texas Ohio State Alabama

Adidas 26%

Underarmor 13 % Notre Dame

on a non-related story the firing of the Penn State football coach was rumored to be from pressure from Adidas.

Not always true they are free to go to another school if they desire of course shoe companies certainly have a lot of input on athletes they sign cause it is not ideal for someone they have signed to be wearing another companies shoes and apparel.

I hope it helps us with players Adidas has under contract. I hope they can sign a lot of women basketball high school players cause the list of Adidas schools is not that challenging to recruit against.
