Let’s appreciate what we have with Heupel right now that many other programs do not have: stability.

However, stability can lead to stagnation if he and the other coaches are not trying to take advantage of the upcoming epic coaching carousel.

None of have a crystal ball, but we all have an opinion. Can Heupel take advantage of the turmoil and pull some talent to a stable program in Knoxville? There will be a lot of hungry players in the portal who want a chance at a championship.

Do we have the NIL and support to benefit from this or do you think Heupel is stuck in his ways?

RTI just posted LSU is looking at CJH to fill their coaching opening. I for one hope this is not true.

"Is Heupel leaving Tennessee for a job at LSU realistic? It’s tough to rule out any scenario you can think of in today’s college football, but it’s extremely tough to imagine Heupel ever being a serious candidate for this job.

Not because he’s not qualified, but because a jump to LSU would be a lateral move. He’s already at a program with the resources to win a national title inside the SEC."

I'm sorry but that last line is laughable. LSU would not be a lateral move. The off the field situation would be worse, but the job itself is a better job than Tennessee.

I’m extremely concerned about losing Heupel to VT after reading the article that spelled his name TWO different ways in the same piece. I like VT, I hope Heupell is successful there but not as successful as Heupel is here.
This isn’t directed towards you but Why would Heup leave for a much lesser job in BA Tech. Tech doesn’t have the history or tradition UT has. They couldn’t spell football until Vick played there.

It’s amazing how people make up this 💩 as I just read an article stating Heup is being considered for LSU job.

Did I have to use the blue font for you to understand that I wasn’t worried about him leaving based off of an article that didn’t even spell his name correctly in two places?? If I’ve created confusion for you then I apologize.

Maybe, I just don’t think he’s a fit.
He's more of a fit than Kelly. And they want to hire someone who is closer to a fit than Kelly was.

So he checks that box. Also he's surging in terms of trajectory in his 5 years. Also if he has to rebuild next year, better at a new job in year 1 than in year 6. We have a lot of things to sort out next year on the roster.

One thing Brian Kelly's firing proves is he was just a higher profile Butch Jones! The "Mad Hatter" and the "Swamp Monster" managed to win championships there for gods sake!
