I have not seen any improvement in any category since game 4. They have gotten worse each week IMO. Coaches are seeing the flaws and exploiting them while we have made no modifications. They are playing a "keep things in front of you prevent defense" (except for Boo Carter) which makes it hard to get off the field.

I try to stay positive but at this point in the season you are who you are. Defensively we are near the bottom in too many categories. Can it be improved? Yes but that doesn’t mean fixed. We are back to ‘22 where the offense is going to have to score a lot to win. I don’t see TN winning any defensive low scoring contest.

Not this season.

Boo ain’t gonna change his attitude.

Cant Hurry hurt players

Freshman are growing not fast enough.

Lots of bad tackles and angles that could be fixed, but do the players get it? We will see.
I know Boo has some ruff moments he also does do some stuff good. He cause the fumble that put the ball at the 6 yard line. His head isn't right and it shows. I'm not giving up on him

Too late to fix it this year. Four moves to fix it next year:
- Banks has to go. I hate seeing anyone lose their job, but he has to go. He can find another job just based on 2024 and being the DC at UT.
- Garner stays. This is a pre-condition for the next DC, unless they can bring a better DL coach. Other than that, they get to pick their staff. And I'd even ask Coach Garner who he'd like to work for.
- UT defense currently ranks 15th in the SEC. The next DC needs to be one with an "SEC pedigree". Gotta have proven you can play in the SEC. Be willing to make the Mizzou, Auburn, Vandy, LSU, or even the UF DC the highest paid DC in the SEC.
- S&C coach has to go. See above for the ones you go after. Throw the bank at Ek if he'd come back.

Even Jello needs time to set. So the next DC gets a 3-year deal to prove they can do the job.

Tough times require tough decisions. It's time.
