Please understand we would've had a losing season if Nico Stayed. Josh is sneaking his way into a few more years over this, realize he can't prepare teams, just brace for the impact and fallout.

I don’t think we know how it would turn out. I’m definitely no Nico Homer but if you go down the road that the record would be worse, you are also taking the position that Heupel and the staff have a ceiling on developing a QB which isn’t their track record.

Nico would have likely benefited from another offseason under the same system and coaching and Heupel would have been able to tweak the offense to cover up his issues.

On the other hand, Nico is awful and the issues he still has is because of him and not because he transferred late to a new staff that were in over their heads everyday and couldn’t develop anyone.

I think it would be somewhere in the middle as I refuse to believe that Heupel would have NOT developed / improved Nico’s game had he stayed. I’m not saying that we should have paid the hostage taker either.
