According to NCAA rules, those are violations.

Moreover, according to those same rules (which the NCAA has crookedly refused to enforce with respect to Saban and Bama), what you describe is a textbook case of "lack of institutional control."

I'm always intrigued by the excuses and exculpations people make for Saban, the greatest cheater in the history of the game. The excuses always amount to more and more serious infractions that the NCAA has crookedly covered up.
Oh I’m not making excuses. Simply stating Bama will always cheat regardless of the coach. Hell Auburn ran their coach off bc the guy wanted to play it by the book.

This the same Nick Saban that bragged at the Texas High School Football Coaches convention about the NIL money pouring in for Bryce Young only to later denounce NIL and blame it for one of the reasons he retired?
Yes
Saban's FOS if something doesn’t benefit him or his program.
Absolutely
Saban’s a great coach
The unfortunate but indisputable result of all of his blatant cheating with NCAA impunity for Saban is that there is literally zero evidence that Saban could win at Bama on a level playing field. It's has literally never happened. It's something that one would have to imagine, one way or the other. Like whether unicorns inhabit other planets.

It's pretty clear even he can't keep up with all the violations. In a big nothing burger in reality; all teams are doing it.
