“I am sorry but at this time I do not want to discuss my commitment to Notre Dame or my decommitment,” said Hurd.
Before he was committed to Notre Dame some of the nation’s top colleges were after Hurd. Oregon, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas A&M were some of the many schools Hurd has been offered by.
Rated the 10th best corner in the nation for ESPN’s Scouts, INC Hurd will become a hot commodity for teams looking for a late pickup in the recruiting class of 2010.
Hurd did however speak on his recruiting process some and gave some insight on when things will start picking back up.
“Right now you could say I am open to all schools again,” stats Hurd. “I should know more on Thursday or Friday and then I can open up at that time.”
Hurd also stated he just needs to take a step back from his process and wants a break from the media due to being misrepresented in the past from media.
With an offer from the Vols before committing to Notre Dame Hurd will sky rocket towards the top of the list for remaining targets for 2010.
Hurd is a defensive playmaker and one of the better ball-hawking defensive backs in this class.
Keep in touch with VolNation.com later this week as we check in with Hurd, JR again.
