Memphis, TN.- Memphis east star Brian Kimbrow has an early jump on the 2012 recruiting cycle. Already the 5’9″ 163 pound star athlete claims that at least 8 schools have verbally offered him. While some major SEC powers have already offered, it is likely only the beginning for the top athlete. Most of the schools claim they like to see Kimbrow as a running back at the college level, however he can play multiple spots on the field.
“I have 8 offers right now. Duke, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Tennessee State, Memphis, Alabama, Auburn, Middle Tennessee State have all offered. I’m also hearing from LSU, Arkansas, and Kentucky right now. They all like me for running back. They tell me they like the way I run behind my blockers, that I have great vision, and I’m very elusive. A lot of them also say they like the way I fight for extra yardage and my burst. I’m looking for a school with great academics and great tradition. I would like to hear more from Miami and Virginia Tech. I like the tradition at Miami, and they way Virgnia Tech uses their running backs. I’d also love to hear more from Oregon”
Right now Kimbrow explained he is hitting the weight room hard trying to add some more pounds to his frame. He also mentioned he has been working hard on his hands. With several top schools hitting him hard, he went on to talk about a few schools in detail, and some upcoming visits.
“Tennessee, the coaches are great. They tell me they want to put the ball in my hands so I can make plays. They said I might be small but I’m a small man with a big heart. I love Oregon the school, academics, and the offense. I would love to hear more from Oregon. I’m going to take a small road trip later this year. I think I will visit Boise State, TCU, and Texas later this year. My coach is taking me and a couple other players on the tour. I’m open to everyone right now, I’m in no rush to make an early decision.”
