in Tennessee Vols Football

The Southeastern Conference released Monday that Tennessee’s Oct. 9 game at Georgia is being televised by the SEC Network and kicks off at 12:21 p.m. Eastern time.

The Vols and Bulldogs are meeting for the 40th time in a series that began in 1899, with UT holding a 21-16-2 advantage. Tennessee won 45-19 a year ago in Knoxville and the Vols are 12-6 against Georgia since 1992, when the teams began playing every year with the advent of league expansion and divisional alignment. UT’s record during that stretch is 6-3 in Knoxville and 6-3 in Athens.

Tennessee appeared on the SEC Network this past Saturday for the 32-29 double-overtime win against UAB.

CBS has elected to use a six-day selection for that weekend and will choose this Saturday night between either the Alabama at South Carolina game or LSU’s visit to Florida. The game selected by CBS will be at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time, and the other game will be a 7:30 p.m. Eastern kickoff on either ESPN or ESPN2.

Other conference games being televised that weekend are Arkansas against Texas A&M in Dallas on ABC (2:30 p.m. Central), Eastern Michigan at Vanderbilt on ESPNU (6 p.m. Central), Auburn at Kentucky on ESPN or ESPN2 (7:30 p.m. Eastern) and Mississippi State at Houston on CBS College Sports (7 p.m. Central).

‘STADIUMCAST’ FREQUENCY FOR LSU 98.7

The Vol Network’s “StadiumCast” frequency for Tennessee’s game at LSU on Saturday will be 98.7 on the FM dial. Fans attending the game can tune into the Vol Network broadcast at Tiger Stadium by bringing a portable radio.

The “Kickoff Call-In Show” begins Vol Network coverage at 2 p.m. Eastern time (1 p.m. Central).
