The Southeastern Conference announced Monday that Tennessee’s Oct. 30 game at South Carolina is being televised by the SEC Network and kicks off at 12:21 p.m. Eastern time.
The Vols and Gamecocks are meeting for the 29th time in a series that began in 1903, with Tennessee holding a 22-4-2 advantage. UT’s margin is 8-3-2 in Columbia, where the Vols have won seven of the last eight. Tennessee lost 27-6 two years ago but bounced back with a 31-13 triumph last season in Knoxville.
This year’s game marks Tennessee’s third 2010 appearance on the SEC Network. Previous showings were a 32-29 double-overtime win over UAB in September and a 41-14 loss at Georgia earlier this month.
Other conference games being televised that weekend are Georgia against Florida in Jacksonville, Fla., on CBS (3:30 p.m. Eastern), Auburn at Mississippi on ESPN2 (5 p.m. Central), Kentucky at Mississippi State on ESPNU (6 p.m. Central) and Vanderbilt at Arkansas on Fox Sports Net (6 p.m. Central).

Not good news. We play awful in games that kickoff that early.
