I note there are a lot of comments about Rod Wilks and his apparently running the program and stealing souls, etc. While they are hilarious, could someone provide the background so we can appreciate the humor even more?

For various reasons, Rod is simply a "cult" hero on the board. He is the "Chuck Norris" of the VN. Or should I say that Chuck Norris is the "Rod Wilkes" to the rest of the world?

Honestly, it's a Smyrna thing and goes back to one of our overenthusiastic posters of all trivial things Smyrna.

Yeah thanks, I wondered the same about Wilks but never had the balls to ask about him, in fear of a beat down. Funny he is from Smyrna, most of my ancestors are from Dayton and Smyrna.

Rod Wilks was asked to go on a Mormon mission but if he did, noone else would ever have to.
