Lance McCullers got his first start since 2022. 15 pitches, 7 strikes. Post game interview sounded confident and ready to move forward. Line drive out, HBP, fly out, ground out. No gophers, no BB.

Altuve still struggling in left field. Made a great play on the run moving toward center, but dropped/misplayed a line drive moving hard in toward home and toward the line. Hmmmm.

Observation already. Sasaki will be great eventually still is just a one trick pony with a fastball. Occasionally throws a slider and a split finger, his control is off and probably needs to be in Minors for a few months to develop a couple of secondary pitches...

Yeah I saw where Roberts had some pushback from Freddie because he wanted to play but kept him out for precautionary purposes. No sense in risking an oblique injury to start your season and be out for an extended period of time. The offense is plenty good enough to take some time off.

They’re 16-4 and were receiving top 25 votes before they beat us. Can they kept together all year? Idk, but that’s a quality team there.
