had to break away from ETSU game in 7th. Surgical wound in back not healing as it should,. causing us to delays dinner, Crampsi and spasms in hands and legs also worsened as I tried to cut back meds

On plus side, faced-timed with grandsons who were enk tripjoying Legoland, Aquarium and other attractiions on spring brea to KC

Very sorry to hear that AV and hope your health improves soon!

Lance McCullers got his first start since 2022. 15 pitches, 7 strikes. Post game interview sounded confident and ready to move forward. Line drive out, HBP, fly out, ground out. No gophers, no BB.

Altuve still struggling in left field. Made a great play on the run moving toward center, but dropped/misplayed a line drive moving hard in toward home and toward the line. Hmmmm.

That's o.k. At your age, you are going to be just a surprised in another half hour when you realize (again) the game has started.

That is the plus for you, multiple times a day, you are like a baby duck, just astonished at all the wonders surrounding you!

The negative must be all the soft food.

Dang. That’s wittingly hilarious! Well done!

Good story from Freddie’s wife about his struggle last season after their son was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome. I don’t think people realize how close Freddie was to walking away from baseball entirely. Regardless of the team he plays for, I will always root for their happiness and success because they are such good human beings.

Freddie wanted to play today but the Dodgers held him out due to a rib injury. Dodgers swept the 2 game series without both Mookie and Freddie not playing...but yea Freddie is a National Treasure.

Yeah I saw where Roberts had some pushback from Freddie because he wanted to play but kept him out for precautionary purposes. No sense in risking an oblique injury to start your season and be out for an extended period of time. The offense is plenty good enough to take some time off.

Yeah, not really worrying over a midweek game in March.

Last year we lost to Lipscomb 9-6
2023 squad lost to Tennessee Tech 12-5
2022 squad lost to Tennessee Tech 3-2 (wood bat game)
2021 squad lost to Lipscomb 4-1

Part of it, Tony uses those games to experiment and get younger guys quality playing time.

We’re doomed. Cancel the season.
