Tennessee has done a nice job of recruiting four-star cornerback Jorden Edmonds. The 6-foot-3, 170-pound CB has the attention of multiple programs coming out of his Junior season, so credit to Tennessee for getting involved in this one almost a year ago. He has built a strong bond with Willie Martinez and Josh Heupel. He hopes to return to campus in January, and he is already planning to take an official visit to Tennessee.

I noticed that too but if you click on “industry rankings” it shows everything on the next page.
Ooh, good catch. A lot of work goes into digging thru that to find the guys, but to your point, if they are going to provide the info by digging, just provide it on the player page?

Since I’m the first update in a while I assume we aren’t really in this one?

This is one of my favorite prospects of the class. Like shady last year. Elite safety.

Still hasn’t committed yet and JD Pickell says we’re right there in it. Would really like to see us land an elite DB, or two if we can flip Gibson too. Outside of Boo we haven’t really gotten a blue chip DB out of HS onto campus that has met expectations. I think Gibson, Beasley, Poteat, and Lewis have NFL potential, but we need a Caleb Downs/Malakai Starks type of guy on the backend and another Jermod McCoy or two at corner. Our secondary is probably never going to be the most well coached. So to have an elite secondary we need elite players

What’s the article say? If Keys is a done deal to LSU dump his NIL money on Wyatt and this guy. We need an elite DB, and honestly more than 1, to really take that defense to the next level

A decision was almost made a month ago on his birthday. A decision before we get to summer could still be made, but Jorden Edmonds is taking his recruitment day by day.

He will be back at Alabama this weekend to watch the Crimson Tide practice and to spend more time with the coaching staff in Tuscaloosa. We still like Alabama’s position in this race. They check a lot of boxes and the five-star cornerback out of Marietta (Ga.) Sprayberry has great relationships there.
Who’s Alabama’s biggest competition? It is Georgia. Over the last couple of months, Kirby Smart and the in-state school have turned its recruitment of Edmonds up. After visiting Tuscaloosa this weekend, the No. 17 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking will be back in Athens on March 27. Multiple coaches are involved.
Tennessee will get Edmonds on campus on March 29. The Vols are very much in this race, and a top three schools for Edmonds according to intel. When a lot of signs pointed toward Edmonds committing in February, it showed potentially how strong he felt about Alabama, but he was still going to take visits.
“Coach Martinez is a great coach at Tennessee. We talk a lot and I talk a lot with coach Heup (Josh Heupel) too. They keep good energy.”
Official visits are locked into these three schools. Edmonds goes to Georgia on May 30, Tennessee on June 13 and Alabama on June 20. Will he go into the month of June uncommitted?

“I want to take these unofficial visits this spring, then see how I feel,” Edmonds told On3. “I am not sure if I will wait for my official visits to make my decision or not. It will be about how I feel after I take these unofficial visits. I am still evaluating everything and making sure I look over my options before I commit.”
