Me and my wife went to the opening game against UTC last season and I saw Nico hit every reciever in the hands throughout that game. He had followed that up with ok/good games against NC State and Kent State. Then we went to Oklahoma. He started off alright but he got blasted (in the 2nd quarter, IIRC) on his blindside and never played confident the rest of the season. He couldn't wait to run out of the pocket. I don't think he trusted Heard or any of the other offensive linemen after that. I don't know if he was scared, but he heard footsteps the rest of the season. Even at the end of the season, when Lance was healthy and the o-line were blocking better and Nico had time, he was still taking off after the 1st read. I think it was in his head that he was going to get hurt again, if he stayed in the pocket. (I know tOSU broke his helmet, twice, but that was when Nico was scrambling. I don't think the offense liked each other by the end of the season and it showed on the field)
