Pure speculation here:
Chaz Coleman wreaks of OSU tampering imo.
Really expect me to believe he has anxiety and depression while he’s out flashing his cash?
I think when we beat OSU for him they came back and said we’ll pay you more just string Tennessee along enough to get them to pay you for no play or decide to terminate your contract and then you don’t owe them it back since they terminated and then just transfer here once they let you go.
I’m sure it’s not the case but in my mind this is the game being played. Nothing else, considering Knowles wanting him that badly (meaning he so severely misjudged him) and the money pictures (doesn’t look all that unhappy and anxious to me), makes sense to me.
Well, if you go back far enough in this situation, you find Ryan Day looking for Coleman on the field after the Ohio State - Penn St game, having a big conversation, and tampering his arse off. And if you check the Ohio St fan sites after Day did that, you see them all bragging about Day tampering and claiming to have seen it themselves, and praising Day for being that obvious and thinking he can cheat with impunity because he is OSU.So he collects a paycheck from Tennessee as a sophomore without playing and risking injury. Then goes to osu where he wouldn’t have started this year anyway. Gets coached up and starts his junior year and goes pro. I could see OSU selling that plan to a kid. They’ve been playing dirty against us ever since we almost had more fans at the playoff game in their stadium than they did and beat them for David Sanders. They big butthurt. Even with us getting the worst of it all. It’s a rivalry going on behind the scenes that nobodies talking about because we’ve hardly played each other on the field.
Again, pure unfounded and bitter-driven speculation on my part.
The plot thickens. Grumors are about to take hold.Well, if you go back far enough in this situation, you find Ryan Day looking for Coleman on the field after the Penn St game, having a big conversation and tampering his arse off. And if you check the Ohio St fan sites, after he Day did that, you see them all bragging about Day tampering after the game and praising Day for being that obvious and thinking he can chat with impunity.
And Coleman really didn’t play after that until some basketweaver team the last game, iirc. Then it came out that Coleman had been concussed, but not adequately evaluated, or maybe altogether ignored, and stayed in the whole game. According to OSU beat writers he started having vertigo and other symptoms then.
It's a dumb argument however you swing it because we have a GM we just use a different title for that job. But it's the same job responsibilities as what other teams call a GM. Why does it matter what title we use for that job?Zero idea how a GM would have changed either situation. The bigger question is whether the coaching staff is distracted by such situations. Having a GM to keep the staff clear of such things makes great sense, but there is zero chance that a GM would prevent things like this from happening.
