Louisiana kid. Probably will be tough to pull him away from LSU.

His dad and two uncles played at Southeastern Louisiana. While he's from a generally pro LSU area, I don't think he's the typical dyed in the wool LSU fan. He's visited LSU, Florida, Florida State, Auburn, and Arkansas. He's probably not done visiting schools.

Wright was really fun to watch and loved his willingness to do whatever it took to get on base , I agree you can’t have too many of those guys

Stone COULD get drafted, but it’s more than likely he’ll be back.

Maybe, but it’s much easier to find elite corner OF play in the portal than the production Grindlinger’s bat brings at a premium position. In an ideal world, Grindlinger being the primary catcher is the best path forward for maximizing lineup production. Stone’s bat is pretty inconsistent, but his veteran leadership is valuable.

Staff gave him everything, even finding a way to start him last year. Not sure what more, but I suspect it’s money. Like so many, not a clutch hitter.

Manny was solid but not elite , head scratcher a two year starter is transferring but it is what it is , his botched safety squeeze in Chapel Hill will take a while to forget

Ant is much better defensively. But regardless of who hits/fields better, gotta have someone playing the position and - unless I missed someone on the roster - there are no more shortstops on the team. I think there are 3 incoming freshmen listed as SS, but 2 of them are rated highly enough idk if they'll make it to campus...
