Kush, you got it all wrong. You are supposed to speak negatively of the players on your favorite team. It shows off your basketball IQ.

And if you turn out wrong, just think up clever flames to keep your "guru" status intact.

Eat that haters. My boi out traveling the country and attending the best camps, to better his game and our team. Gotta love it. Turn that 'hate into motiVATE.(ion). Good to hear, hope he's getting better.

great scotty ....

"Chandler Parsons abused Scotty Hopson on several possessions. He took Hopson off the dribble to the left and faked a pass to the corner, forcing the helpside defender to bite, and finally converted with his left hand. The very next possession, Parsons drained a three over Hopson’s outstretched hand. "

That doesn't sound THAT bad. The first one sounds like he faked out a help defender, not Hopson. As for the second one, every gets shots hit in their face. If Hopson had his hand "outstretched", what more could he do other than block the shot?

If you watched any of the Rocky Top League, you saw McRae, an incoming freshman, take Hopson to school. Hopson did hold him to 42 points in one game. Hopefully, these camps will focus on defensive improvement.

Is it me or does Florida always seem to have a goofy white guy on their team that everyone hates?

Jason Williams, Dupay, Walsh, Lee, Parsons, Noah (half-white)

Hopson also scored a lot of points himself and led his team to the championship. That is a very high-scoring league, with 40-point nights by Vols being rather normal. Hopson's team beat McRae's team.

McRae looked great, which bodes well for us, but I don't think it's fair to focus on what in the game went against Hopson without telling the whole story.

Thanks for sharing the whole story. Hopson did lead the RTL in scoring and his team did win the championship. However, the discussion was about his defensive play. Whoever he guarded in the RTL had a good offensive night. He has lots of work to do to improve defensively. That was the basis for the post. If an incoming freshman can take you to school, it doesn't look good for the coming season and his defensive play.

This board is made up of primarily two people:
1. Those who will blast Hopson no matter what argument is made.
2. Those who will defend Hopson no matter what argument is made.

There is never any meeting in the middle with Scotty...

I am proud of Scotty for attending the camp.

I think he has seemed lazy and disinterested on defense.

I think he has relied on his three point shot despite the fact that he has the ability to penetrate and finish in a way that Chris Lofton could only dream of.

If Scotty wants to go to the NBA badly, he should work on defense and finishing around the rim. With more aggression he could be great instead of good.

He and Vincent Yarborough seem like arguments that weed must be balanced with meth or coke if you want to make the NBA.

I'm very glad that Hopson is attending any summer camp he can attend. Some folks take constructive criticism as hating or bashing a player. I would love to see Hopson develop into the player he has the potential to be. However, offering comments on his shortcomings and areas needing improvement is appropriate, not bashing and hating.

Interesting to read that lots of Day 1 praise went to 1 Florida player, and lots of Day 2 praise to the other Florida player there...

When they are very good this year, you will hear the experts on here say that it will not last....I say Florida would beat the piss out of Virginia Tech in basketball this fall.

So are you predicting Florida to make a run at Final Four again?

Or are you saying that Florida will be in the Final Four if they make it that far, but they will not be in the Final Four if they lose before making it that far??
