Then you'd better hope Dooley makes the SECCG this year. Otherwise, you'll be dead wrong.

Fulmer had us in the SECCG every three years. Last one was 2007. You do the math.....

GSM.

I feel pretty confident Dooley will be able to match Phil's trophy output for the past ten years.

My my how we soon forget the excitement and oh yeah...a National Championship that CPF just happened to be a part of. You damn right he should have something huge at Neyland Stadium. You guys kill me bashing CPF. Ok...your glad he's gone but the accomplishments that he had are not nothing to sneeze at. Coach Phillip Fulmer is and will ALWAYS be a major part of the University of Tennessee. Give him credit by recognizing him at the stadium. To the ones saying it 's too soon...then why do we have Phillip Fulmer day on the last game of the season? This was put in place right after he was fired.

It was a one time event.

It was done so he could feel good about himself.

At least have a friggin clue about what you are talking about Foolmoron.

You do realize Jim Donnan is in the College Football Hall fo Fame?

The only thing I know about Donnan is Fulmer whipped him and good, AND Donnan had a recruiting advantage.

Again, if you don't want Fulmer to go into the HoF at first asking, you can write a letter to the Hall and explain the situation.....

Name one starter.

Just don't make it sound like going into the college football HoF is a big deal. I'm only halfway shocked Gerry Dinardo isn't in there.

A happy day for him, his family, and friends. Besides them nobody cares.

Much like the Hall, the professionals, the men and women who make a career of NCAA Football, won't give a ship about your letter explaining the "real" situation. :)

That would be amazing if they could put urinal pads with Kiffin's face on them throughout the stadium. At least that would make me feel better every time i went to go to the bathroom and got to piss on him

They should have them with both Kiffin and Fulmer's face on them.

You talking about Arkansas in '98?

Who do you dislike more, the guy who kicked you in the nutz once or the guy who held them clamped in a vise for 9 years twisting tighter each year (despite setting you up for a one nighter with his pretty sister 10 years ago).

.

:eek:lol: Best analogy I've heard yet. But for the record I would not want either. I once was okay with Fulmer. I never thought he was a great coach, but I did think he was at least pretty good at recruiting and hiring good asst. coaches. After Garner and Cutcliff left he did nothing to fill in the voids that were created. And that was his eventual undoing. I eventually came to dislike him beacause he acted like it was his right to rest on his laurels and stay HC no matter how crappy a job he was obviously doing. This is not FSU. Fulmer did not build this program from nothing. The Vols were a great program before he came along and will be great again now that he is gone. Kiffin would never have happened if Fulmer had done his job. So in my mind the whole fiasco is all on him.

That was an attempt to actually sell tickets to a home game for which those seats would have otherwise been empty due to Fulmer's hideous job of getting results on the field.

Perhaps you could take a moment to name one of those "many" starters.

Posted on TOS, I found this interesting. With all the new stadium improvements, large murals of former legendary Vols are posted around the stadium. These include, Gen. Neyland, Johnny Majors, Al Wilson, Peyton Mannning, Doug Atkins, and Reggie White......but not Phil Fulmer! Do you think Hamilton has anything to do with this????

Im not a fulmerite in any way, but I do find it rather odd that he's not included.University Of Tennessee announces stadium improvements, Gameday activities GoVolsXtra
I hear there will be a giant pile of cow dung dumped at one of the gates in his honor. Also some sprinkled here and there down Phillip Fulmer way.

"Phil Fulmer should have a mural at Neyland Stadium. Yea he only won one national title over ten years ago, and left the program in bad shape, but he did have that one national title." -- Vanilla Ice

You should be crowned King of the Fulmerites. The college football world has spoken on this issue. Fulmer has openly lobbied for a head coaching job since his LONG overdue firing from UT, and yet not one team has offered him a job.

Hardesty, Rogan, Berry, Walker, martin, williams, crompton(most of you think he was a stud last year) creer, morley, cooper, scott, mcclendon, reveiz. brown. plenty of solid juniors and seniors.
oh yeah mcneil

Dam I was wrong. Fulmer left our team loaded. So was he planning on them playing offense, defense and special teams; or was he planning on converting to 6 man football.

A mural... Was that not clear?

I have a five-year-old son. One thing that I think we've finally got explained to him is that just because somebody says or does something nice or does something nice for one of the other kids, doesn't mean that it's an insult to him and that he should get his feelings hurt. He doesn't sit and pout anymore because somebody else gets a toy, the teacher praises somebody else instead of him, etc.

You would think that Fulmer and his supporters would have figured that out by now too.

Look at all the great blocks McNeil made last year. He was a real key to UT's success.

Hey, look it's the same discussion you guys have been having 3 times a day for nearly 2 years now! Wonder if anyone will change their minds by the 730th thread?

That's because everyone quit paying attention to your idiocy when you mentioned Lennon Creer and Demetrice Moron as examples of quality players.

To argue that demetrice morley wasnt a quality player is like arguing that J.P. Prince wasnt a quality player moronic.
