Dooley fans Vs UT fans

Why do some seem so happy he is failing? Those who rooted for him wanted stability in program today. Those against him want to attain stability in program tomorrow with another coach.

How's it going to taste when your man gets s-canned after the year? 721 yards to Troy is beyond putrid.

Sorry volswillrise, but although I supported Dooley as coach, although I NEVER agreed with Hamilton hiring him, I never took up the drink. Hopefully the administration will restock the shelves with a better-tasting drink soon. But whatever the drink (Doolaide, Grudenaide, Strongaide, whateveraide...) - GBO!

You really think many people were rooting for Dooley today? Many were rooting for the Vols players but few for Dooley. If you think being at the bottom of the SEC is stability then have another sip. This argument always makes me laugh when I think of how many coaches Dooley has cycled through in his 3 "long" years.

Simple. Dools is not an SEC coach and the longer we keep him on our sidelines, the longer it will be before we can get a coach that will get us back to winning.

I've said it before - I appreciate Dooley for VFL and bringing back some class and stability. Now he needs to leave so a winner can take over.

ncvol17, What appears to be division among the UT fan base is simply the outpouring of our frustration with the ineptitude of game management on the part of Dooley... and on field by the defense (or apparent lack thereof). Some fans believe Dooley will get the situation straightened out - given enough time. Whereas, others (myself included) believe Dooley has had the best part of three seasons to get the program on track... and we see little evidence of real improvement in game performance.

However, we are still rabid fans... and we are still yelling, "GBO," while believing that we need some changes in the coaching staff to make the BO relevant in the SEC again. No offense intended toward anyone... just my thoughts.

No one is happy he is failing or is rooting for him to.

The only way we get any stability for at least a few years is to either fire dooley and hire ANYONE else or keep dooley and give him an extension. If we keep dooley without extending his contract then no GOOD recruits will commit here as there is a GREAT chance he won't be here the following season and it will just cause us to sink even further into the nothingness that is currently Tennessee Football.

Just to be clear I do NOT want Dooley to stay and will be enraged if they keep him and extend his contract. He's made it so you cant wear or show anything Tennessee with pride because as soon as fans of other teams see it the jokes and wisecracks start and theres no way, or reason, to defend it at this point.

Every SINGLE day you keep Dooley is one more day of god awful recruiting, and our Brand being drug through the mud. We leave a worse taste in everyone's mouth who sees this, and hell, even our players grades are horrible.

Bray openly argues with him on the field, and our players follow suit with his attitude.

At this point, wanting him here is not only horrifically ignorant, but a detriment to the future of this program.

Dooley fans would rather see UT lose than DD get fired. They are anti-Vols. They are in the cult of Dooley and would rather see us 0-12 before they admit Dooley can't coach. The coach is not the program. UT is bigger than the HC. They can't separate the two. I fully support the program and the players. The coaching staff , not at all.

GBO!

I don't know anyone that says they are a DD fan. I think people support him because he is UT's coach.

I want a new coach for the 2013 season.

Until then, there are three to four games remaining in the 2012 season. I for one, would like to win them, regardless who they are against. I always want Tennessee to win and *****ing about the coach that isn't gone yet won't change anything.

There are maybe like 2 or 3 posters fitting what you're describing. But I haven't seen them. Most of the Dooley "supporters" are just supporting the current coach.

TJFR. Us Dooley fans want to see UT win - no matter who the coach is. If a change is a coming we will no doubt support the next coach. Us Dooley fans don't give up, unlike some other fans.

Dooley fan is the same fan that screamed for Fulmer to be fired.

I have not given up either. In no post have I said I would like us to lose even for DD to get fired. As a fan of the program if you see the current HC is in over his head and is under qualified shouldn't you support getting a new HC? If not you are putting the HC over the program.
