Can you believe we used to complain because we lost to Florida every year? Beat everyone else, but couldn't win that one game...

Man, we were one spoiled fanbase...

"Dooley fans" = people that cheer for Dooley to win and succeed. Why would we do a stupid thing like that? Because he's the head coach of our football team. The program and the coach are one in the same. If the coach doesn't succeed then the team doesn't succeed. Period.

The other underlying issue is the state of our program. Unless Hart has an ace named Gruden up his sleeve (which at this point "reliable sources" include a magic 8 ball), we can't afford to go through 3-4 more years of this... And even then there are no guarantees. The bottom line is right now if you don't cheer for Dooley then you don't cheer for UT. You are essentially starting a fire that's burning up the entire program and I'm really just sick of all the negativity. One observation I've made: a lot of posters act like in the age of the internet where we basically live parts of our lives online that all the "anti- Dooley" crap shouldn't have any effect on our players and our program. Some of the most ridiculous crap that speaks to how out of touch some of our fans are

Some fans need to wake up and take the late 90s silver spoon out of their mouth. Right now we are a middle of the road SEC team. That's our identity. If you're unsatisfied, join the fan club called "Everybody". This ain't going to be an easy fix. If Dooley isn't the man then the next guy d&mn sure better be! And if our current AD makes that move, then his tenure will be defined by that decision... Let that sit for a minute and tell me that you can't at least root for Dooley to succeed because I guarantee you a lot of people are for just the right reasons :peace2:

The money players and the University are not foolish. When they look at the bottom line $$, and the W/L record, I'm pretty certain they are able to put 2+2 together and will do the right thing.

The grudenites, well that's just a bunch of juniors pissing up a dream rope. Gruden has a dream job, has won the biggest game of them all. He's a smart man. Smart men don't do stupid things like taking over a Div1 football team with a fan base like UT's. End of that.

And, yes, we can support our team and, if one wishes, not our coach, it's easy to send our AD an e-mail expressing one's displeasure.
