Sadly our offense needs to go back to a slow tempo to keep the opposing offense off of the field since our offense is all we've got. But I still give Tennessee the edge in a shoot out.

2.5 might as well be 0. It will be pitch and catch for Missouri against our poorly coached defense filled with a lack of talent. Most of our defensive players act clueless. It's frustrating. It will be another shoot out more than likely.

It sounds funny to say, but Troy's offense is much better than Missouri's.

Missouri did get their QB back, and he promptly threw 4 int's vs. the Gators. Don't think we can count on the int's, but ....it's actually tough to say this...but I don't see us giving up 48.

LOL! Impossible to say that with a straight face.

But yeah...maybe we can hold them to..uh...35??? :cray:

Mizzou totally different style than Troy, better match up for us actually. We should try to grind it out on the ground more.
Our secret weapon? Our offense will play both offense and defense :birgits_giggle:

Their moral victory over florida was better than our moral victory, I bet they make a t shirt to celebrate that.

Disagree. We don't make first downs or TDs when we play a slow tempo game. The fast play-big play offense is the only way we can win the last three games.

I was hoping CJG was gonna be the difference there. Teaching this team what it means to play for the Vols. That you set the standard, not subscribe to it.

Sadly, he hasn't even had a complete year to do his thing. And neither has Sal. They were supposed to work miracles I guess, and didn't. But that's Tennessee fans for ya.

Mizzou will be tough. They have d-line talent/quickness to get pressure on Bray so he will be dancing and throwing wild IMO. I still expect UT to score 30-35 points. Which is what scares me. With Sal's Matador Defense that may not be enough. Frankin had seen limited action before the UF game due to an injury. He has now manned up against a real SEC D and even with the picks they had a chance to tie late in the Swamp. Odds are they got some of the kinks worked out with their O. The whole league knows we cannot cover in man coverage, we cannot sack a QB, we cannot set an edge against the run by the RB or the QB, we never bother to cover a TE, and the slot receiver receives a 6-10 yard cushion as a free gift from Sal.

which means in SEC play we lose some of the games closer than others, right? 4 wins against garbage teams in 3 years. That's it. Losing pretty is still losing.

Clowney was playing with a foot injury that most players would never have thought of playing with. he knew he had an off week after us to help heal. A 100% Clowney and a first string DT Quarles being allowed to play would have changed the results even more.
