We're getting ready to play the worst team we'll play all year - SC (RPI 159).

If we win, do we move up in RPI?

If we lose, how far do we drop?

NCAA College Basketball RPI Rankings - ESPN

South Carolina is not the worst RPI team we played all year.

Win might bump us 1 or 2 spots, what other teams do today could increase or decrease that though.

UVA is currently in a battle with GT on the road, lots of our opponents play today though.

According to ESPN, they are the worst RPI we play, currently SC is 159. The next worst is Miss St. at 154, then Auburn at 147.

I thought you meant all season not the rest of the way, I was saying we've already played worse RPI teams this season.

As for going forward, Mississippi state is worse according to live RPI, but not by much.

Haha Chris already commented on this. Look what this hire got them in year 5, and I don't think he has made the NCAAT more than once. That is why you never know when you hire them. Nothing is guaranteed unless you hire one of about a dozen coaches.

That Vandy game has really done me in with this team. I want to stay emotionally involved and keep rooting and hoping we become that team we all thought they would be, but I honestly cant trust this team anymore. I want CCM fired. Apathy is kicking in FULL GEAR!

If only this was still relevant

Right! I think it's you that's out of touch. Guarantee the Vols will have at least 2/3 more "Vandy-like " games.

That's very well possible, but that's not what I'm debating. You're saying they have to win out to make the dance, and that's simply not true.

7-2 the rest of the way and they're in, 6-3 and it's still very possible depending on SECT and what other teams do.

They won't get in on just the Virginia win. Any hope they have left is riding on the Fl game.
