If the favorites win every game (won’t happen) we would have to beat these teams to win the natty.
Wofford UCLA UK Houston Duke Auburn.
Root for upsets.
1 seeds have some tough matchups in the second round. If the favorites win their first round here are the games and Kenpom ratings:
1 seeds
Auburn 4 vs Louisville 23. This game is in Lexington which will be essentially a home game for Louisville
Florida 2 vs UConn 35
Duke 1 vs MissSt 32...
You’re probably right but will see what other teams do. Auburn and Duke are probably locks for 1 seeds. This leaves Houston FL Bama and TN fighting for the last two spots currently. Bama has the toughest schedule by far.
I don't think we can shoot a lower percentage and beat Bama if we have 19 turnovers like we did yesterday. Our offensive efficiency is higher than expected given our shooting because we're good on the offensive glass (ranked 10th on Bart Torvik). 19 empty possessions would be an issue...
AP voters tend to go with what you've done lately. You could argue that Auburn has an overall better resume with the 12 quad 1 wins vs 7 for bama (TN has 8) but its easy to see the voters will be split on this. Same for TN vs FL. TN has a better overall resume but a very impressive win by FL...
Play FL 5 times in TBA and 44 is most likely their lowest score. It seemed like the team was more motivated against FL with two starters out and got off to a good start. If felt more like they expected to beat Mizzou and didn't get going until the second half.
It seems to me that the 12 team playoff somewhat saved college football this year. All of the drama around who would make it in added interest. The portal brings good and bad elements to the game. NCAA, Universities, etc blew it when they tried to keep a complete lid on paying athletes versus...
I agree. The “selfish player” narrative doesn’t seem to fit here. Nothing makes sense. Transferring at this point in the season makes no sense. His playing time was going to go up on a team with national exposure. Likely a starter next year. If he wanted a redshirt why not at least talk to a...
IIRC he was trying to preserve his senior year and claimed UNLV didn’t pay him the 100k promised by a coach. UNLV said he was never offered the money.
So Carr is walking away to preserve his sophomore year? Something doesn’t add up to me. Why avoid talking to a coach.
