You didn't notice Igor not showing up in almost all the big games? He was pretty bad the last part of the season and into the tourney. Dumb fouls that took him out of games early and dumber turnovers. I wouldn't compare Igor and Gainey. For the most part, Gainey showed up and was terrific...
