So 100m results:
1. Evan
2. Adoree
3. Elliott

Where would Vic and Rashaan finish?
What about Hurd or Paulk?

This recruiting class could help revive the track program

I'm pretty sure SEC women would currently beat Vic and Rashaan. Not many football players can keep up with true track athletes in 100m. The guys typically run 10.2 or faster.

Evan is faster in the 100M than the track guy Adoree Jackson.

That's true it's good to be fast but that's just one aspect to the position. Adoree is on another level at CB with the rest of his skills. I do believe though that once these young men settle into a position that they will accell and will make some valuable contributions at their position.

It still amazes me that Willie Gault ran it in 10.8 at 48 years old. He also ran a 4.27, 40 :eek:hmy:

CP might have been able to compete but 10.3 is a slow time at nationals.

For the women, anything under 11s is pretty good.

Also, Adoree is a jumper, not a sprinter as far as I know.

The phrase "World Class Sprinter" gets tossed around too much. Some of these kids are fast -- really fast. But Willie Gault was/is a REAL world class sprinter. From his Wikipedia:

"His personal best are 13.26 seconds in the 110 meter hurdles and 9.95 seconds in the 100 meters"

and at the age of 50 (almost 51):

"...winning the M50-54 age-group 100 meter final at the 2011 Masters World Track and Field Championships in Sacramento, CA on July 9, 2011 with a time of 10.96 seconds into a 0.5 headwind"

We need to realize as fans that he has the ability to play multiple positions. I personally think they aren't rated higher only because they play multiple positions to help their team. There are some players (Even some 5*s) that would like the opportunity to playing an offensive position versus the position they could be a natural at. I say give them that chance. We need as many athletes on the team as possible. If it is proven that they're better at another position then they will get moved. No harm done. Just my :twocents:.

I think this is clearly the truth. If they were more selfish, demanded to only play one or two positions, along with camping more, they would easily be ranked much higher. So to be rated as high as they are I think is pretty good.

Yeah these young men definitely don't seem to be the selfish types. They are team players and will do what they can to do to help the team. I hate that they aren't getting to experience the recruiting process like all the other recruits just because they're believed to be heavy VOL leans. After listening to their interview with Dave Hooker yesterday I believe that they are already counted as part of the class.

For women, anything under 11s is REALLY good. Since 1982 only 6 women have broken 11s in the ncaa championships and 4 of those were wind aided.

It's how jet propulsion was discovered. Ever watch a moth fart?
