The grad assistant recruiting him went to HS with Eric. Makes perfect sense that he is the lead recruiter IMO. He possibly had a prior relationship with the family.

And I for one would love to see Evan get a shot on offense. Kid is blazing fast. Use him like a Rainey or, dare I say, Harvin! Butch is going to be putting the ball in playmakers hands in many different ways once the full playbook is in, locked and loaded. These spread offenses can never have too much speed.

Prepare for a major shocker. I don't think we land them. When I read Evan's quote above, I think he is overloaded with Tennessee. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer. I must have heat exhaustion.

Yes. But the staff is not dumb. Evan stated he has a close relationship with the guy so no point in interfering right this second. When it gets closer to NSD, I fully expect some house calls since the Berry brothers going elsewhere would be considered as treason by some on this board (sarcasm).

They know if they want to come here, they will always have a shot, but most people realize that there is a shot to go elsewhere just so they don't have to deal with the whole living up to the whole big bro thing. IMO, we need athletes period but Im just a fan.

AP played with him at UT, not in high school. AP went to Lovejoy, Eric Fairburn.

Every insider with recruiting says they are a lock for UT. But you read one quote on a message board and even though it is very positive for UT you read into the deeper meaning and determine the Berrys are not comiing to UT. Lol. Not to mention, they are not even showing any interest in another school. You know how many times they have been at UT? How many other schools are they visiting and talking to extensively? If they were really planning on going somewhere else, they would be putting in lots of time shopping around. They are not.
