Don’t want to beat a dead horse...but seeing how Emerson has acted recently...and even how Taylor is acting towards the new staff after being re-recruited...makes me want to see us tell Mays to just piss off

I know he’s an elite talent but he clearly doesn’t want to be here...we should just load up on JUCOs for immediate help and take the HSers we have along with Carvin for the future

Ease up. He is just a kid trying to weigh his options and make a very difficult decision about his future. I hope Trey Smith is talking to him every day, as he was in the same boat last year. I am just afraid Mays will end up at Georgia.

Won't even talk to Pruitt or let him in home but we should ease up? Nah, he can kick rocks. Hope he goes to UGA so we get to play him every year.

Why? He was a Bama fan growing up. Made a difficult decision to go to UT. Mays was a UT fan growing up. Making a difficult decision to go to GA or Clemson.

Yeah, and every time Emerson blows by him or beats him with a spin or power rush, he gives him a good talking to. Talk trash like Derrick Barnett used to talk. Get in his head real good.

i do think it's time to move on. with time and resources short for this early period, no need in continuing with Mays. we have smith. and they're obviously casting a wide net with other OL, and still 2 months til Feb.

i think give these guys two months, and we might be pleasantly surprised by who we ultimately land.

I want those who WANT to be here. Emerson, Litaker, Lawless, Warren and Ollie all WANT to be here. It's not about a coach, because that coach could leave during your 4 years, then what? Their blood runs Orange. They commit to the school, traditions like the Maxims, and want to follow the greats former players before them like Little, Reggie White, Whitten, Manning, Peerless, Al Wilson, etc. I'd take a 3* like Ollie who LOVES UT over a 5* who's heart isn't in it all day and twice on Sunday.

But Smith was not a Bama legacy who grew up in Tuscaloosa.

If we offer here look out is all I can say. He’s good but everyone in Birmingham likes this kid. Very influential recruit that I’d love for us to have. Works hard too, have to tell him to take rest days.
