Yeah right. How about we actually prove that for once? Too 5 recruiting classes every year and go land some top transfers for once. CJH has done a wonderful job here, he has to get rid of some position coaches (I think it’s obvious who) but otherwise he’s handcuff until we actually put our money where our mouths are. The talent gap has closed a lot between us and top programs but there’s still an obvious gap. We will continue to have good seasons under CJH but if you want to win any championships, where’s the NIL at? We’re waiting. Quit wasting it on average players.

Been saying it and gotten trashed for saying it. Spyre was elite for the first little bit. Since then they have been garbage. We don’t overpay. Just face it. We don’t have the money people who will just say hey here is the cash go get what you need.

Probably not top 50. Taking transfer WRs from Tulane and hoping the best. Made an awesome catch against Bama, sweet! wtf else has he done? Nothing. Kitsleman was the only transfer worth a **** we got this year.

I said it back when NIL started - if people thought it was good for Tennessee to have to compete financially with the alumni networks at Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, etc., then they were in for a rude awakening. It was ignorant to ever think it'd be easy to just outspend those programs.

I'm not saying Tennessee can't keep up or even make splashes, but the reality is that those top tier giant schools have much larger and more financially flush alumni networks to shake down for money. More people, and more cash. So you're always going to be cutting harder on your own people to chase them.

Thanks from someone that can’t afford to. LSU fans put a lot in their collective and they’re killing it in the portal. We can make a difference but the super rich people gotta start giving insane money if they want to win a championship. Why spend 8 mil on a QB not give him elite WRs front the portal. Makes zero sense

Agreed. We can all do our part with what we can afford but the real change will only happen when our big money doors pitch in.
