I was at my children’s cross country meet during the game today…I’m just now watching the replay…one thing that just stood out to me was the comment I started this thread with…Palmer and Tessitore said it adamently…and I couldn’t agree more…we are a blue blood and we are back…college football is better when we are good…end of story

Sec sucks when Tennessee isn’t good. But it was our own fault. Idiot people hired idiot people.
A 20 year plus self delusional toxic merry go round dumpster circular firing squad . Enjoy Florida

My daughter is in 6th grade and ran just under 15 minutes on the 2mile course…my son is in 3rd grade and ran 6:50 on the 1 mile course…it was my sons first race ever and my daughters first race at that distance
Nice work! At that age those are really solid times particularly on grass and hills! If you ever want any tips or advice let me know (I’ve developed a handful of D1 runners), but most importantly is just gradual development and increases in mileage over their careers (don’t over do it for both mental and physical), and keep developing work ethic and character. The mental side of running is SO important. Best of luck 💪🏻😎

Most females doing the two mile run in the Army PT test couldn't run that fast, at least when I was still on active duty. Nowadays....not sure they even have to do a PT test.

Thanks buddy! I appreciate that!!

My daughter absolutely loves it…we tried several other sports but I could just tell right away that she loved running in a way she just didn’t with the others…

We are lucky that we have a coach who’s very cognizant of over training…I’m already seeing it other kids…11 year olds running 40 miles or more a week…crazy

Thank goodness you have a coach like that because that is NOT a given. He sounds grounded and with a longterm plan. My mentors taught me “there are absolutely things you can do to a young runner to get more out of them earlier in their careers and by doing so end some of their longterm potential.” Be thankful for your coach and I’m sure you are.

She sounds like many kids I was blessed with the chance to find early on in life. This is great. Good for you guys
