Can anyone guess what these percentages are from last night?

0% = Barton's field goal %

12% = UT's 3 point %

29% = UT's field goal %

83% = 48/58 is how many McRae, Stokes, and Maymon scored together. The rest of the team scored a total of 10 points.

100% = the amount of minutes Thompson needs to take from Barton until he shows otherwise.

makes you wonder why Barton would go down in every offensive statistical category vs his first 3 years. His confidence is gone. Might as well play Thompson and let him come off the bench.

Same reason Hubbs is struggling. Because of lack of confidence. Which usually comes from the coach.

prior to being coached. Had a couple of good games early. Then the CM factor took over.

And we had a lot of people complaining about Golden last year. Him and McRae bailed us out of a lot of games last year. Golden did vs WCS and vs TAMU.

Had a feeling we'd miss Trae Golden.

the same Trae that was benched twice last year on our NIT run?

I was actually too hard on Trae anyway and it's obvious CM has coaching issues, but lets not act like he didn't disappear at the wrong times. At least our pgs are giving effort and keeping their head in the game. If Trae missed like Barton did last night he wouldn't have played a lick of D.

What ? You're actually saying CCM could be the problem, after you, BTO, CChris and others launched personal attacks against me and others who questioned his coaching in the past. You sir are a tool, nothing more.

Yeah it's called being a man and admitting that I was wrong. Next time I make a thread admitting I'm wrong I'll tag or CC you.

He also started a thread stating he was wrong. So while you think you're looking like a hero, you're actually the one who looks like a tool.

Barton is same player he has always been. Only difference is he's getting more minutes so his weaknesses get exposed more. On a good team he's a role player, not a starter. Memphis wasn't a good team the year he started and played a lot.

his minutes are @ the same. His fg%, 3 pt %, ft%, and assists are all down.

You can't say he's the same player if you have watched him play in the past or watch his tape. He doesn't have one drive that looks like a couple drives on that 1 minute film I posted. And it fits the pattern. Stokes hasn't improved. Jrich hasn't improved. Trae didn't improve and was benched twice in his 3rd year as a starter. Skylar didn't improve. Hall didn't improve. Hubbs hasn't improved. Moore hasn't improved.

CCM is missing in action, has the turtle come out of his shell yet? No post presser, no showing even though he is technically contractually obligated. Sends his players out and doesn't show what a wuss. It is like he is thumbing his nose at the vol nation. Hopefully he won't have to tolerate us much longer.

So you're another one of the fools that will be eating crow when your hero gets his walking papers. Thanks for confirming, I'll update my list.

Just because Barton is struggling, I still stand by most of my comments about Trae. Sure, maybe Martin's offense isn't great, but just as you talk about seeing things with your eyes (as opposed to stats), the same can be said about Trae. No doubt that he could score, but he was a terrible decision make and just made some boneheaded passes and plays. We watched enough of him to pull our hair out.

I agree. And he was benched twice and should've been a 3rd time late in the year.
I just think we all see now it wasn't all on Trae. CM has no idea how to coach offense, spacing and pg play. He wants to walk it up, pass that stupid pass to the wing while every team fronts it, and drop it down on the block as we all just stand and watch. Just horrid.
And I just watched a hs team run a talented team out of the zone by putting a medium sized dude on the ft line to work the middle against a zone d and they tore them up. Pullup from the ft line, take it to the rack, kick it out to the corner for a rhythm 3, or kick it to the wing, or drop it to the big man if the center came up on him. All the basic stuff that a middle school coach teaches, I saw on espn in a hs game tonight, and CM's teams haven't done it in 2+ years.
