This game is on again and unlike two weeks ago I'm able to catch it from its beginning and entirety. I remember how Chavis' prevent defense prevented us from winning at the end once again. I can also remember how dissapointed after the game. Had a much better team and was just plain out coached. For all the Fulmerites-that should have been the third time in four years we should have been playing for the NC! This loss plus the SECCG debacle is a big part of why he's gone. 9 and 10 win seasons are nice but when you should be in elite class and playn for NC games, it's not all that great!

A guy behind me at that game had a heart attack (or something severe enough to have him taken away by the medics) after Travis ran that screen pass for a TD. The medics took the poor guy away unconscious and thinking we had won that game. I remember being somewhat jealous of his ignorant bliss after the prevent D took over.

this was the last home game for me at Neyland. what a disappointment!

and the UGA announcers most infamous "hobnail boot" call just rubbed it in more

Is it just me or did Washington seem to lay up after the LSU game that season?

Man that Fulmer was SUCH a terrible coach. Can't wait for the next Tennessee coach that "should" be playing for 3 titles in 4 years. .

The 2001 UGA would be the point (if I was a head coach) that I would never have a kicker that couldn't launch it through the endzone on a kick-off. In a case like that don't even give them a chance to return the kick, just give it to them on the 20....now 25.
