05 football media guide

hey i was just wonderin if anybody else has gotten the media guide yet. i think its pretty good overall, but i wish it would have covered our schedule and opponents more. gimme ur thoughts on it.

I like it but I hate that they had to limit the number of pages. Last years was better.

Yep. For some unknown but probably illogical reason, the NCAA decided to limit the number of pages each program's media guide could be.

The NCAA decided that big time programs that where making 374 page Media Guides such as Tennessee, were gaining an unfair recruiting advantage over the smaller schools that were not able to make such large guides. So therefore the NCAA limited the number of pages to 210, counting the covers.

I think that it's absurd.

When was the last time you heard about a recruit making a decision based on the media guide? Do recruits even read the media guide or care?

Maybe this was the NCAA trying to throw a bone to the lesser conferences without really giving anything substantial (ala BCS related)?

Where can I order a media guide? I thought the book store used to carry them but it doesn't seem so.

well with no playoff system, no widespread intant replay, and now a thin media guide you can see how the MAJORITY does'nt rule in college football. It IS absurd...

just bought mine at walmart for 12 bucks.

i am in love with this thing. everything u need to know and some stuff that u dont, it is all there.

records, stats, polls, players with profiles. man i love this thing.

i will probably carry it everywhere i go.
