We are in desperate need of a solid 3-point shooter. All we have so far is Kenny Hall, and I'm pretty sure he's not the answer to our problems beyond the arc. The only uncommitted Rivals 150 guy with interest in us is Eric Bledsoe, who is not a 3 point shooter.

Do we have a serious shot at him? Also, are there any JC guys or transfers who can shoot the money ball who are considering us? Last, in the case that we cant get an '09 guy who can shoot 3s, are Selby, McRae, or Craft good 3 point shooter?

Josh Bone is transferring in, and I've heard he's a good shooter.

Selby probably has a decent stroke, I haven't seen him at all. He's gotta be doing something right to be a top player though.
McRae is supposedly a stud shooter from what I've heard.

The only thing is that we don't have any scholarships we can give out. It s looking less and less likely that Wayne or Tyler leaves, so the only scholly we can give out is the one left by Childress, which has been allocated to Hall.

Southern Illinois. He played at Brentwood Academy in high school.
He's walking on though, so he's not taking up a scholarship.

We can't get any JuCo guys..No scholarships.

The only way we can get more players is if they walk on, or we somehow manage to free some up by having Wayne/Tyler go pro, or someone quitting.

If you think everybody on that roster with remaining eligibility will be back next season, you're sadly mistaken.

They aren't among the guys I'm counting on being off the roster.

Interesting, I'm thinking two particular freshman will transfer, both of whom are too slow and play too little defense to play in Pearl's system. . .

Do you think Wayne and or Tyler go the NBA?

To me, Tyler has to wait, his status could only get better next year, can't get much worse. All he has done this year is prove what he won't be able to do at the next level, so I don't see him going high in the second round this year. If I were a team, I wouldn't draft him and would just invite him to camp.

Wayne needs to mature and work on this rebounding and post defense AND not going AWOL for half a game or more. He should come back.

Why does everyone so down on Woolridge and the freshman? Tennessee has had 3 good years and this year is down so what. Last years recruiting class is the best Tennessee has had in years. Negedu, Woolridge, Hopson, and Jurick will all be very good college players next year. Tennessee doesn't yet have the clout in recruiting that a UNC, DUKE, UCLA has, so they may not get the best all around players like these others do. You have to be patient, the NIT might be in the future, but the whole team will return next year and we saw the progress that the team made after his first season. When Pearl has a whole offseason to prepare his team next years team will be one to reckon with, mark my words.

By the way if we've ever wasted any schollys it was on Brian Williams, and J.P. Prince. Prince is a turnover waiting to happen, and Williams couldn't play dead in a western movie. These guys have given us nothing all year. Prince may score 11 or 12 points but he gives up 15 on defense. Williams gets the ball down low and can't finish because he is so big he cant get off of the ground. Maybe they ought to play Chilly more at least he can shoot it a little.

The only way Jurick becomes a contributor is if he transfers to LMU or Carson Newman.
