6'9" isnt that big. pretty standard as far as PFs go and pretty undersized as far as Cs go.

Yeah I just read that other link, may explain the minimal interest from college coaches. Unfortunately Pearl has taken chances on some headcases before, and they haven't worked out too well.
If he's signed a pro contract, Pearl or any other college coach can't touch him... or has he found a loophole?

I'm pretty sure this is old news but I think this kid skipped his senior year and went to israel in hopes of going pro this year but he quit halfway through the season because he couldnt get accustomed to their style of play. I'm pretty sure there was a headline on ESPN where i read something like that.

He's actually up to 6'11. However, 6'9 240 in the SEC is plenty big. Other than Ogilvy who's a joke the only center we played against bigger than this would be Cousins. Varnado is 6'9, Tyus is maybe 6'10 but fairly lean, Thompkins 6'9, etc. The SEC isn't known for huge centers and that's allowed some of our guys who may be undersized hold their own just fine. Point being, considering we have no true bigs coming in, a 6'9 240 kid fits the bill.

My bad on the thread fellas, this scenario is a complete wash now. Gotta love the kids and their "advisors" that only see green, nevermind his attitude and character issues make Demarcus Cousins and Glen Davis look mature.

well football players can play professional baseball so there might be a way.
You can't get pd in baseball and play college baseball. Or get pd in basketball and play college basketball... not the way the rules are set up right now.
