I wouldn't bet against USC/UCLA in this one with Cal coming in at third, but for those of you who follow college football and not just Vols football, he's someone to get familiar with.

Tennessee has made contact, but I don't know much more than that. He seems to be a smart kid in interviews, who has admitted to being a serious USC fan, but wants to make his decision wisely.

You can see him at the end of this clip. Appears to be all muscle, with the frame to keep getting bigger and stronger.

He possesses the versatility to play WR or CB at the next level.

he comes in at the 3:14 mark---

Utah offers Terrance Mitchell and Isaiah Burse impresses at Stanford Nike camp - ESPN

One of the most versatile players at the Nike camp at Stanford was Anthony Jefferson (Los Angeles/Cathedral). He is known more for his play at receiver, but worked out with the cornerbacks and looked very good.

"I have offers from Cal, USC, UCLA, Oregon, Arizona, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Arizona State and a few others. Just about everyone is recruiting me for receiver, but USC likes me at corner. I decided to work out at corner and had a good time out there.

"Right now, my top three are USC, UCLA and Cal and I've already visited all three, but I don't plan to make an early commitment. I want to take my time with it and go on my visits before making a decision."

according to his ESPNU profile--

2008: 36 receptions for 636 yards (17.7 average) and four touchdowns...

you don't mess around when you start a thread TJ.

He's someone I've really liked for a while, but like you said will be extremely difficult to pull him from the West Coast.

He moves really well.

Thanks. He did briefly mention he'd like to hear from Tennessee in a Scout.com video interview, but it was after other eastern programs like Florida and Georgia.

I won't be surprised if he takes an official visit this fall, but there's really no consolation in first or third runner-up.

I know that this is a thread on Anthony Jefferson, but Markeith dominated the competition with what we saw on that Combine footage. Wow

He looked smoother than all of the other WR, and a lot faster than his stated 40 times. Made catching balls look really easy.

Anthony Jefferson has very high interest in USC and the Trojans will be a school Jefferson considers until the end. But the end is a long ways away. It takes more than USC winning football games and a kid growing up a fan for the Trojans to sign a kid. This isn’t a knock on Randall Carroll, but I thought Jefferson was Cathedral’s best football player last season. USC and Florida are Wright’s top schools, but he also has interest in Arizona, Washington and Tennessee. He will take an official visit to Knoxville when the Bruins play Tennessee on Sept. 12. Wright said he will take official visits to the five school mentioned above.
