Just want to say how proud I am of all the fans for packing the stadium the last 2 years.

In an age when watching at home in front of the big screen is easier than ever,
Vols are making Neyland the best place in America to witness a football game.

Me and the missus Hillman are making plans to make the long trip for a game later in the season,
and I can't wait.

I love my Vols, but I wish our fans could show the loyalty in adversity shown here in Nebraska. Over 386 consecutive sellouts (sold out the entire 2023 season in August, including the student allotment). I've got 6 kids/kids-in-law who are devoted alumnae.

I've always held the Nebraska fan base in high regard.

Not only because they never give up on their lads, but they're also great sports. Applaud the visiting team when they run in, stand up for injured players from other teams, that sort of thing.

Second-best fan base in football. And beyond our own in some ways.

Go Vols!

Nebraska’s streak is impressive. But remember our stadium is bigger by about 20k seats. We average higher attendance than Nebraska even when we don’t sell out Neyland.

Classy Nebraska fans when we got roasted in the Orange Bowl during Mannings last game. Sat all around them. My only experience with them.

True, but Tennessee as a state has nearly 6 times the population, and significantly higher population density. Folks travel to the games from all over the state, which is also geographically larger. When filled, the stadium is the third largest city in Nebraska. Admittedly, a sellout doesn't always mean full, but that's true anywhere. Getting tickets is like pulling teeth. And it doesn't matter if they win or lose - the fans are loyal. That's what I like. And the decibel level is definitely comparable. Hoping I can get tickets for the TN-NE game when it comes around to Lincoln, and do my part for the Vols.

Got to say, Vol fans are great in much the same way. My spouse and I attended the Bowl game in Nashville, me in my Big Orange and him in Big Red (standing up for our kids). Folks from TN were outstanding to him and great sports. I really feel the two sets of fans have a lot in common.

I went to the Big House last year, and they posted on the jumbotron about the streak; I just looked it up.......the last time they had less than 100k was Nov. 8th 1975. That's a streak; if you don't know, the Big House is in Ann Arbor MI.

When I read this title, I was expecting a list of NegaVols from the forum. Oh well, this will do.

I’m very impressed. Thought that ship had sailed and was all for reconfiguring the stadium to eliminate a bunch of seats.
With the Oilers moving to Nashville and our very lean years figured non conference cupcakes would start only attracting 70-80,000.

Agreed. Nebraska has always been a program that I root for from afar.

To this day I still think the biggest mistake they made was moving from the Big 12 to the Big 10. I think they lost some of their identity when they did that.

I really think we clip Georgia this year. Would be insane to think after 2020 that Heupel would be able to run 2 undefeated seasons at home in year 2/3

Well a.lot of us have, I've missed just a handful of games since 1997 and I know many UT fans who have been there for every game.
Go Vols!

I am wanting to get my family down this weekend to be part of it, can't afford tickets but thinking to just hang around the stadium and sort of tailgate. Never really did that before, always had tickets to the game when I have gone in the past. Where would be a good spot to hang out? Circle Park?
