Dual-threat quarterback
Ft. Pierce (FL) Fort Pierce Central
Ht: 6-foot-2
Wt: 190 lbs
Forty: 4.7 secs
Class: 2010 (High School)

In addition to the offers to Scroggins, Hendrix and Brunetti, Tennessee currently has offers out to Legaux, Godfrey, Tim Smith of Fort Pierce (Fla.) Central and Ed Sullivan of Boca Raton (Fla.) High

Fort Pierce (Fla.) Central quarterback Tim Smith holds close to a dozen scholarship offers already in the recruiting process and he was recently ranked as the No. 26 dual-threat quarterback prospect in the nation by Rivals.com

Smith runs the 40-yard dash in 4.7 and he used that speed to rush for 600 yards and eight touchdowns last fall to complement his 1,100 passing yards and 10 passing touchdowns.

Anyone else find it a little surprising that we have offered so many dual threat QBs?

Godfrey is a holdover from the Fulmer regime. It is believed that we have offered Smith as an ATH. I think we were just trying to "get in the boat" with Legaux in case his stock went through the roof. I have absolutely no clue what is going on with Sullivan, and it appears no one else does either...

Apparently Sullivan has a pretty strong arm and a really quick release. Maybe our coaches think he can play well in a pro-style system. Or maybe, we are just running out of choices. I don't know either.

I think we offered Sullivan before anybody except Heaps. Scroggins was prolly offered before him, but I can't remember for sure...

Or Legaux misunderstood the coaches. I would put $1000 on Munchie Legaux not having an official, written offer.

Why are you so obsessed with Legaux having an offer or not? Mason doesn't have an offer, neither does Wallace or Rettig. Scout says Munchie has an offer, but really is it that big a deal? There's so many other QBs to concentrate on, like those coming next week to camp. If he has an offer good, if not so be it.

I dont think he is saying Munchie doesnt have an offer.....its that his offer is not for the position of QB at UT.
