This kid could be a like a Noel Devine/Jahvid Best type player. Rivals reports s 4.31 forty. 5'10 180. Could maybe a Reggie Bush type player in Kiffin's offense. Rivals doesn't show any interest in Tennessee though....

If B Brown goes to the U, no way this kid does.

Don't want this to turn into a BB thread..So, would definitely take this kid. Got some wheels.

He was 3rd string this year and got very limited carries. He was a terror as a return man, but didn't show that aggressive running style when he was in the backfield (almost like he thinks too much, instead of get it and go like he did on returns). He had a KO return for TD in 5 straight games this past fall in the largest classification in Dade County, pretty impressive and may warrant offers alone.

As a RB he will have to prove he's got it this spring and on into the fall when he get's all the touches. In the end I don't think Miami will offer the kid.

Luke, do you think he could raise his stock by switching positions? Is he someone you see being recruited more as an athlete, than as a tailback?

He could move to the slot, but he's got a very thick lower body so I'm not sure. I think he just needs more reps at RB. All RB's tell you the more carries they get in a game the better they become. He has never had the opportunity to get a rythm going.

Me personally, I'd offer him merely for his ST ability. I saw first hand how Devin Hester was able to totally change the momentum of a game with one return even when he didn't score a TD. Just the field position battle and the excitment it brings to everyone with one good return.

Northwestern HS is basically the backyard of the U. If U offers him, I don't think he would consider any other places......
