By C Simmons. Tennessee has offered, joining Georgia, Oregon and UAB. He is interested in the Vols and says he plans of checking them out. While he says Georgia isn't his leader, he does note that they offered first and that friend Branden Smith is going there.

"I have seen Auburn, Alabama, and Georgia so far. Ole Miss, Auburn, and Tennessee have all said they will be there next week. I feel Auburn stands out to me so far, I like them a lot actually," said Goodwin.

"Coach (Lance) Thompson and Tennessee have been recruiting me the hardest," said Goodwin. "I feel like I can come in and have the best chance for immediate playing time at Auburn and Tennnessee. That is a big factor for me right now. Coach Rodney Garner and Coach Tony Ball, I keep in touch with both of them. I still have a lot of interest in Georgia," he added.

All the aubutn fans in the office are pretty upset about this one.. All of them are saying he decommited and he is likely to go to WVU.. They all have rivals accounts and they are saying that's what it looks like..
Always a good day when you have upset barners.. regardless of where he's going..

A WR going to WVU is about as smart as a RB going to FLorida. It's like these guys have no NFL aspirations.

Really.....You're able to give me one mediocre 3rd round pick as your evidence that WVU puts good WR in the NFL.

He looks to be UGA bound now. They put a late push on for him. I really do not understand these kids. Their dream school shows no interest in them and so they commit elsewhere. All of a sudden UGA comes calling and the kid gets excited. Atleast the Barn is going in a better direction then UGA, but whatever and good luck to him.

UGA had offered the kid a long time ago. We were the first to offer him. CMR just isn't one of those coaches who relentlessly goes after kids committed to other schools. Once he showed signs of opening up, we moved back in on him. He's good friends with Branden Smith, a DB we signed last year.

We will disagree here, but that is alright. This is the same thing CMR did recently with B Sims. I do not really care either way because it is recruiting and you only want the players that want to be there 100%. But as of late CMR is starting to make huge pushes for instate players. It is one thing that the program is not where people would like it to be, but it also doesn't bode well in a talent rich state not to keep the players at home.

Well with as many teams around that take players from GA (Auburn, Bama, Tennessee, Clemson, USCe, Troy, Georgia Tech, FSU) its impossible to get every kid thats making noise in Georgia.

I agree but do not understand some of their choices on the board vs some that go elsewhere. In the end CMR probably gets most of who he wants, but that doesn;t mean they pan out well. UGA has had alot of talent lately but has failed to produce. I hope they bounce back just like I hope UT stays on its current path. These are programs we need in the national spotlight. They help to build the conference

That's true. We've made some questionable calls. CMR doesn't go after too many guys with character-related or academic red flags. Some people like it that way, but I think that if CMR is the father figure to so many players, why couldn't he provide guidance for these misled players? I mean, they are the ones who need it the most, right?

Also, besides Vandy, UGA has the highest entrance requirements in the SEC. We've lost a ton of guys, especially on defense, to post-grad schools. A bunch of other guys (Eric Norwood, Clifton Geathers, Jamar Chaney) committed to UGA, but couldn't get in so they went elsewhere. I agree, we need the SEC to be at its toughest, I want to see how long this SEC national championship streak can go on for.

This is BS. Higher requirements for regular students but not for athletes. UGA still takes athletes as long as they qualify be SEC standards.

of course it's crap. And the stuff about MR being a "father figure" is even funnier given his personalized parking space at the Athens jail

Well, good sir, tell me how athletes couldn't get into UGA, but got into other schools so easily?
