And god knows how many WR's at FNL's last weekend.

Maybe but it's the weirdest situation. It seems that after FNL that we were going to take him. Something happened and that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

His film looks impressive...

Here is my analysis after watching some tape......

He does not have top end speed, but is fast enough. He is shifty and is elusive. I liked the fact he caught the ball with is hands and not with his body. He also knew how to use his body to block off the defender from the ball, which also aided him in making some tough catches. Overall, i really like what he brings athleticly. The attitude is a concern, but i am not as worried about it as others now. Rivals has him as a 6.0 4* for a reason.

Ambles is more of an overall WR. He isn't the best at any single area, but his overall package makes him elite.

He has good hands, size and speed. He can run the necessary routes to get separation, in order to make catches. He is never going to be the biggest or fastest on the field, but he will produce.

He is much better suited for a pro-style offense than a spread.

So what's the deal with this kid. USC pulled an offer. According to rocks, looks like UF might have. The Army game pulled the offer...I'm sure it's posted here somewhere, but what did he do?

If it was a girl, she'd be a victim...were there, uh, special circumstances...and why would a school invite him to their camp if they had a problem with it. Seems like there is more to it, no?

You can add Georgia and Auburn to that list as well. Those 2 schools never began recruiting him...

Banged a teacher lol....Pulling the UA invite was a misunderstanding if i remember right.

There's something else going on here I feel. I was on reading on the USC boards when they first pulled his offer, and the moderator said that there is something else that happened but he'd never say what it was...

This is where you have to trust the staff. They have dont an OUTSTANDING job getting these guys to do right and not mess up. Heck, they even got their GPAs to come up. 0 arrests over 7 months. Fulmer couldnt say that. Think about how we were last year. The arrests were coming one after another. This year it has been quite. I love this attribute of this new staff.

I agree Matt. I trust them 100%. My opinion on Ambles changes hourly. Around 7:00 today I could care less whether we got him or not. Right now, I very much want him to be a Vol...

I'm simply wondering why schools are turning away from this kid and it seems like it's after being in contact with him and not something that happened a while back. I do trust the staff it's just a bit curious.

He's not a real physical guy like Boldin. He isn't real quick like Nuke. He isn't a big WR like Jarrett or Williams. And he is not gonna be able to run away from people in a straight line like Meachem did...

That being said, he is a very smooth player. He seems to be smart on the field and can find holes in the defense. He is one of the best (if not the best) route runners in this class. He catches the ball with ease and has great hands. Although he is not a "big WR" he has very good size and will still be able to outjump the smaller DBs. He is built in the Fitzgerald mold. A player he reminded me of as soon as I seen him was Steve Smith from USC...

If he can get his act together off the field, he could be a special player on the field...
